Stress and coping processes in families and relationships; the role of social support in coping; emotion transmission and regulation in families; Asian-American mental health, particularly youth adjustment in immigrant families; life goals, personality, and motivation.

I am currently in my second year of study in the Clinical Psychology PhD program at UCLA. I received my B.A. from Barnard College, Columbia University, in 2004 with a double major in Psychology and Anthropology. After college, I worked at the Arlene R. Gordon Research Institute at Lighthouse International, researching life goals, social support, and coping responses to vision loss. I started my graduate studies at UCLA in 2006, and am pursuing research interests with Dr. Rena Repetti and Dr. Anna Lau in the Department of Psychology. I recently finished my master’s thesis under Dr. Repetti’s guidance looking at the spillover of daily work stress into marital interactions.
